Using EDX

EDX includes several components that you can use to customize the data flow and manage existing user settings.

The following is an illustration of the EDX landing page.

Viewing your profile
Your profile contains basic information about your account, such as your user name and group.
Using the dashboard
By default, the Dashboard page is the first page that you see after you register and log in. It displays the Default dashboard. The default dashboards are preconfigured.
Creating dashboards
The EDX administrator can create dashboards and share them with specific groups in view-only mode. Users with appropriate permissions can create dashboards and share them within their groups.
Sharing dashboards
You can share dashboards that you created with users who are in your group.
Deleting dashboards
You can delete the dashboards that you created.
Documents page
The Documents page contains a table that shows a current document exchange. The Documents page is patterned off a typical computer mailbox process.
Document life cycle
This feature helps you to view the collection of documents for a complete business process (for example, purchase order, order confirmation, dispatch advice, invoice, and so on).
Creating filters
You can use filters to select a subset of documents.
Creating customized dashboard widgets
Based on your business key performance indicators, you can add customized widgets to the dashboards that you create.
Introduction to EDX user preferences
View and manage some elements of EDX, such as account settings, notifications, and application customizations, from the User preferences dialog.
