Introduction to EDX user preferences

View and manage some elements of EDX, such as account settings, notifications, and application customizations, from the User preferences dialog.

The User preferences dialog displays settings of the user who is currently logged in.

You can perform the following tasks from the user preferences dialog:
  • Modifying EDX account settings
    The account settings section contains options to help you modify personal information, date and time formats, display language, and time zone. You can also change your password from the account settings section.
  • Configuring EDX notifications
    Customize your notification preferences in the Notifications section. You can activate or deactivate alerts for account activation, deactivation, e-commerce, file transfer, and document processing errors.
  • Customizing the EDX application
    Choose the landing page and dashboard you want to see after logging in to the EDX application, enable or disable display and partner names, and edit display names in the Application customization section.
  • Configuring administration settings
    Enable or disable notifications about the activation, deactivation, and registration of user accounts in the Administration section.
  • Changing EDX profile picture
    Add an image as your EDX profile picture in the Profile picture section.
