Modifying EDX account settings

The account settings section contains options to help you modify personal information, date and time formats, display language, and time zone. You can also change your password from the account settings section.

1. Click your profile picture, which is in the upper-right corner of the window, then choose User preferences.
2. Update the relevant details in the Account settings section and click Save.

   Setting	Action
   Email	The email address associated with your EDX account. Note: The Email field is read-only; you cannot modify the email address.
   Time zone	Select your time zone. If the time zone set on your computer differs from the time zone in your user preferences, EDX displays the following message: Your local time zone (<time zone value>) does not match the selected time zone.
   Date format	Select how you want to display dates in EDX. You can choose from the following: MM/DD/YYYY (Default option) DD.MM.YYYY YYYY-MM-DD Documents and data you export from EDX will retain the date and the time formats you have selected. Note: If you open exported CSV files in Microsoft Excel, irrespective of the date format you have selected, the date format will match your system date format.
   Time format	Select your preferred time format. You can select from the following: 12 - hour time format (Default option) 24 - hour time format
   First name	The first name of the logged-in user. Delete the existing text and type new first name of your choice.
   Last name	The last name of the logged-in user. Delete the existing text and type the last name of your choice.
   Display name	The display name of the logged-in user. Delete the existing text and type new display name of your choice.
   Default language	Select your preferred language. EDX will display screen text and messages in your selected language. You can choose from English and German (Deutsch).
   Change password	Click to change your current EDX password. In the Change password dialog, type your existing and new passwords, confirm the new password, and click Change.
