Searching for documents by content

Search for documents by entering keywords or phrases to match text within their content. You can search all documents or specific parts, apply filters, and choose partial or exact match.

Search for documents by finding text within their content.

You can search for documents by entering search terms in the search field. The search function matches text within document content and displays documents that meet the specified criteria.

The search function finds text in all available documents that are 20 MB or smaller.

When filters are applied, the search function searches text only within the filtered documents.

  1. Log in to the EDX application and go to Documents Inbox.
  2. On the Inbox page, click the Search button.
    Note: The free-text search option is also available on the Sent and All pages.
  3. Enter your search term in the Search field.
  4. To specify the part of a document to search, select Storage, Source, Target, or All from the list.
  5. To define the search type, click Partial or Exact.
    • If you want to find documents whose content partially matches your search criteria, click Partial.
    • If you want to find documents whose content exactly matches your search criteria, click Exact.
  6. Click Search.
    Note: The application does not support exporting the list of documents returned by a search.
