Enabling display names

To convert the current names of entities on the Documents page to a more readable form, enable display names.

Prerequisites

To use display names, you must have the View permission for the Display names parameter. For more information about permissions and parameters, see Role management.

About this task

You can set display names for your partners and organization IDs.

To enable display names, click the profile icon and navigate to User preferences → Application customization. Select the Use display names toggle button and save your changes. Entities that have display names will be replaced with appropriate display names. Display names are displayed in filters, documents, groups, the chart, the dashboard, columns of the Documents table.

To enable partner names, click the profile icon and navigate to User preferences → Application customization. Select the Use partner names toggle button and save your changes.

Note: If both Use display names and Use partner names are selected, display names take precedence over partner names.
