EDX supports onboarding and application access for non-EDX customers, enabling efficient electronic data exchange.
Many EDX customers work with trading partners who may not have access to EDX or other EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems. Using the external partner access feature, EDX customers can request EDX application access for their partners. This feature helps standardize document exchange between EDX customers and their partners and reduces manual errors.
Customer relationships and Partner capacity are key components of the external partner access feature. The Customer relationships option establishes connections between external partners and EDX customers. The Partner capacity option defines the maximum number of external partner groups that will have access to EDX.
Once granted access, trading partners receive secure access to the EDX web portal where they can exchange data with their EDX partners using web forms assigned to them. They can view their exchanged data in both EDI and form views.
