Introduction to MFT configurations

Send and receive files securely to and from Rocket EDX using an on-premise Managed File Transfer (MFT) solution called EDX Edge.

EDX Edge is easy to install, maintain, and operate yet provides robust security and reliability. You don't have to make complex configurations on the EDX Edge to enable file transfer. You can create and maintain the execution parameters of the EDX Edge, such as data folder locations, file patterns, maximum batch size, and synchronization interval, on the EDX using the MFT configurations. EDX provides an easy-to-use UI to create, view, modify, and delete MFT configurations.

To start sending and receiving files, create an MFT configuration on EDX, then install the EDX Edge application on your on-premise computer with your EDX credentials. EDX Edge receives its execution parameters from the EDX.

EDX Edge can send and receive files from multiple partners. Create an MFT configuration for each partner group you want to transfer files.
